deleting yahoo messenger

I have tried to delete yahoo messenger manually and in the control panel. I get a message that states " can't open install.log"
Does anyone know how to fix this so I can delete and re-install?

Just reinstall over the top of it.

You dont need to uninstall to reinstall.
