I have taken some time a searched the boards and I've come up with the following. Although I do photo/video editing, I am not a gamer but want a computer that will not waste my time waiting for programs to start or function. I can't seem to find an 'out of the box' computer that I like for less than $1600 which is way more than I want to spend. I have an old Dell MicroATX case that I'm going to use. It would be great if I could get some experienced techies to review this to see if all this stuff will be compatable. I chose the MB because:
1)I like Intel
2)wanted Quad CPU
3)1333 MHz front bus
4)I want to be able to have an eSATA external hard drive and some open PCI slots for future expansion.

here they are:

Looks good, except a couple of things...

1) I would change the motherboard to be compatible with PCIe 2.0

2) I would get a PCIe 2.0 Video Card

Shouldn't change your price much, but PCIe 2.0 Cards will run much faster and smoother. Even if you don't get a PCIe 2.0 Card now, having that option in the future is a definite must...

3) For $80, you can get 4GB of DDR2 RAM:
