Hi

One more thing, I ran Auslogic disc defrag and it came up with 3442 junk files which I can only get rid buy buying the full version. Is this a reliable and good product to have or just another waste of time. Cost £17..

A waste of time and money I would imagine. I would be very surprised if it fixed your problem

Auslogic disk defrag is a free, excellent tool for defragmantation. Don't pay anything. They also a sell a package that include BootSpeed. You don't need it.

Are you sure that you don't have any malware? Let's look at the facts:
-Slow computer start up
-Process Explorer isn't working (malware often stops programs that could remove it from running)
-Losing Restore Points...

Common Symptoms for malware. :)

He was already in the malware removal forum and got cleared. Unless you see something Essexboy missed, I wouldn't waste our time by sending him back.
