I have a Presario 2100 (2199us) model Laptop. I have suddenly lost all sound. I have no volume control icon on my quick launch tray. If I check under my hardware configuration in Control Panel/System/Sound, all of the sound devices are listed and trouble shooting says they are all working properly. I cannot figure out where my sound device/card went.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanx

if windows sees it you could try uninstalling them from device manager and then rebooting and reinstalling the drivers... However you may have a dead sound card... Also if you recently installed something it may have modified the volume control within windows so you could check that... or for that matter make sure any physical volume switch didn't get bumped down....
