I have a Dell B120 Inspiron Laptop (WIN XP) and I have had issues with the "Blue Screen of death." I had to use the factory reinstall setting several times, it didn't work the first few times (I got to like 80% complete and than I got the Blue screen. ) It worked after a couple times, but whenever I try to install something I get this message "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR" or something like that.

Is there anyway to fix this? Or should I just reinstall the operating system?

Blue Screen Errors are memory issues... causes: hard drive is bad (virtual memory) or underlying format (NTFS corrupt) is corrupted; physical memory bad or needs to be reseated in its slot.

Rarely, error can be caused by a bad drive cable; even rarer: bad main board, cpu, or power supply (usually on destop systems with bad capacitors.

So if i try to reinstall Windows XP , it probably won't fix the issue?

I don't have problems going online and that saves data when i visit sites.
