Hi,

Almost 4 days ago now one of my coworkers dropped off his computer so I could disinfect it. The machine is a Sony Vaio running like a 1.7 Intel w/ 1 gig of RAM on a vista machine, his mother bought it for him for Christmas, there were almost no windows updates installed, I don't know when the free trial of Norton ran out exactly, all the bloatware was still floating around and some evil persistant pop up insisting there was a virus (that was off course an intruder pretending to be part of Vista's security) running rampant.

I couldn't download anything from IE (his only browser), the infection had taken over. Then I remembered that Google chrome browser came out like 3 days ago, and luckily it didn't know to lock that out too. So I got that, got the windows updates, disabled all the weird little virus programs from task manager that I could, which enabled me to proceed without the five thousand pop ups. I cleaned it, it was fantastic, scans were coming back clean, I started working on taking out the pointless bloatware, setup Firefox with security addons and things. He comes over to pick it up and I'm getting him familiar with the new browser and so forth and BAM! it's back. So, through all of it again x5(or so) and I'm left with: Trojan.Win32.Obfuscated.gx & Trojan-Downloader.JS.Agent.cln at this point and they will not let go of his machine.

I've Run: ATF, ERUNT, Malwarebytes AntiMalware, AVG, Anti-Vir, Kapersky online housecall, Ad-Aware, TrendMicro Online, F-secure Online, Spy Sweeper, FixIEDefender and several others that I no longer remember. Most of them aren't even turning up the infection when I point out the specific file to them.
