In a long (many rows) WORD97 table ….I want to show the table headings on each page of the document.

I thought this was how one does that but it does not work for me.
1. Marked the heading row at the very top of the table (Table/Select Row)
2. Clicked Table and inserted a check mark at Heading
3. Saved the document

Can someone see what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

1. Select the row you'd like to use as column headings on each page.
2. From the "Table" menu, choose "Table Properties"
3. Click the "Row" tab, if it isn't already selected.
4. Check "Repeat as header row at the top of each page"
5. Cilck "OK"
