Computer freezing using Internet conncet card

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I do have the XP operating system.
I purchased the at&t Sierra aircard 881. When I use it it works for 5-10 min then freezes the computer. I tried a different card still the same. I have the updated software and firmware for it. Also turned off Norton 360 security and auto update, still freezes. I have a Verizon card the I am using which works fine just really slow. Which is why I want to go with the AT&T, works much faster, when working.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
