Hi, I fixed my problem with the corrupt XP CD and now I'm officially dual-booting Vista and XP on my laptop!

Now, I have to make XP run smoothly on a machine that was built for Vista.

I've downloaded the drivers according to the ones on Vista. Meaning, I used a tool to find out what all the drivers were on Vista, went to the websites, and downloaded "XP versions". However, I'm getting the annoying problem of driver installations aborting by themselves and I can't figure out why.

They typically say something like

Setup aborted due to an error

or

Setup did not complete successfully

Without the drivers, I don't have internet access while under the XP Pro OS. Can anyone help?

1: We need details about your computer (laptop/desktop, brand, model etc.)

2: If the computer is a non brand desktop, do you have any add-on cards like ethernet, video, audio.
