I have $2000 to spend on a Gaming Computer, but what i need it for is to run multiple clients of games (such as WoW, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Etc). I need a computer that can handle that. monitor can be garbage. I have no idea about computers so if someone can give me a hand :) It would be awesome. Thanks

If the monitor is garbage the PC only needs to be garbage, you don't put an engine from a VW beetle in a ferrari do you. You need a good monitor otherwise there isn't much point in building a system that can display games brilliantly if the monitor at the other end can't even show you that its doing it. You want to spend 25-50% just on the monitor.

Are you wanting to build this yourself? Do you have any experience?

And don't bump your posts its rude if someone is around they will answer if they can, if they can't bumping won't help as most of us work from the bottom of the list up.

Price of this system: $2039.90. This is a 100% gaming system. It uses all the new technologies and it is future proof for a very long time. Oh, and this moniter is excellant :)

If he ,at first, wanted a crap screen, I really dont think he cares about the sound, so why buy a Card Sound? Cant he just work with the one in the mobo?

Also, Id go with ATI build, if i was him.

And Since he wants to play games. He will probably overclock.

dont take that as a serious build... just as a ATI idea...
etc etc... I dont know how much it is at right now and theres still missing peices xD

Ok heres my question tho. I want to run multiple games at the same time without me actually playing(thats why i was saying monitor not big deal) would a video card affect the performance of the games if they were playing by themselves. I have friend talking about just have alot of ram and a strong processor.

Why on earth do you want to run multiple games at the same time? Is it a server you want because those are very different and is it for a LAN or a WAN because you need to get a static IP and a bucket of upload bandwidth for a WAN from your ISP.

In short, yes. If it's 3D processing, then the video card has a big say.

Are you setting this up to be some sort of display? (i.e. one game on one monitor, another on second monitor)?

I'm a wee bit confused, too!

I have to admit, if this is the case, I'm not sure if you can run multiple 3D games at the same time from the same computer.

Ok the reason i need to run multiple games is cause i sell MMORPG accounts for $$ The more accounts i can run the more $$ i make. I have a program that will play the games for me. I dont think i want a server type... but then again im not to sure.. All i do is shrink the gaming screen so i will be able to run multiple accounts(20 is what im aiming for) but i dont even know if a computer can withstand that.

So you want to be able to play 20 games at a time to setup these accounts? :)

I don't know if you can do that, but if you could, you sure would need a powerful setup.

You a WoW account seller? lolz... botting. selling the gold and the toons. lolz

well. if u set wow's settings to min you can prolly run 20. hopefully...

since you dont rly use the keyboard and mouse besides setting up the bots. i say buy a Logitec mouse+keyboard packagedeal. i bouhgt 1 cuz its all they had(its an eshop and they only had that in their physical shop. u need to order betetr stuff online). but for 25$ CAD. for both its a nice price. and they work very well. you prolly have that cheaper on newegg also.

id take the money u saved with keyboard/mouse to buy an extra fan. since ur comp will be running nonstop for prolly a week before you reboot and than ull let it run another week. so yeah. get good fans or more fans.

also, Vista home edition has nothing special and has more bugs than xp. so get XP home edition imo. but vista is very nice still. thats what ill do. or get the xp pro one. vista home isnt...worth it if u want to run 20wow accnts. or any other mmos. if you have issues with WoW and directx10. like 0.09% of players sometimes have issues because wow has old graphics.. you might want to go back to directx9. your gpu card has directx10 on its installation cd. and yeah.... you need vista i guess. your build is set for vista... so get vista. but not home basic edition. the the home prenium (supports 8gig of ram instead of 4)

if you run warhammer accnts. remember that warhammer has issues with ATI gpus. nvidia has less issues. but ati is better quality and cheaper. but mystic will fix these issues. and anyays there really not so big. also if u run warhammer accnts. you might want more ram. since you need atleast 2gig of ram for 1 displayed game for no lag. and.. yeah.. youll need vista... but youll need 1 the 3 higher ones since vista home basic only supports 4gig of ram.

Hi Shuh,

I wasn't aware of this. I did some quick research but couldn't find any information on the topic. Would you mind posting me a link where you found this?

If this is the case, then an upgrade to Home Premium edition would be in order!

Cheers
