fssm32.exe is consuming almost 100% of my CPU time almost constantly now. What seemed to be occasionally at the beginning goes on now for hours. When it does this it consumes all sorts of memory too (>380k). I have looked for something that may be causing the problem and have not found anything. I saw a previous post with WIN2k instead of XP where fssm32.exe was doing the same thing. They were instructed to run hijackthis and post the log and someone was able to direct them on what action to take. I am new to this but I hope you can help. Nothing pops out to me in the log. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
