hey i was just curious.. is there a way to do a search of the forums? especially for certain keywords?

i have been looking around and have yet to find a way to do this. unless it is by using the google bar at the top of the page..

however when i use the google bar to try to find the Jass program for editing BBcode it came up with 0 results when i know for a fact i saw a link to it somewhere in the forums.

just wondering though..

thx for any replies :)

I didnt notice that before. But that only searches the topic you are currently in. I'm looking to search the entire forums for keywords.

If you want to search just the topic all you have to do is a ctrl+f and type the keywords.

Thanks for the idea though. any more? i want to hear them! :)

If you just hit search without a key word see what happens :)

Then Search again it opens the whole forum for you

Classic has the search at the top

So I see. Thats kinda out of the way though. Can you think of an easier way to do it?

I'm not complaining about it. Beggars can't be Choosers. I'm just curious. It's going to kill me one day *holding battery and wire* :)

You could add the search link to your toolbar, or just bookmark it.

The default forum search results are sorted chronologically. The Google results are sorted by relevancy. Google just does a better organizing the results to help members find what they need. Unfortunately, Google does not index the entire site yet, and none of the private forums. That's why at the bottom of the Google results you'll find a link to the forum search engine:

Find what your looking for? If not, try our alternate search engine

Fix it, then delete this post, and Sari will never know. :)

PS. That message doesn't appear when using the G2G Classic skin.

Banning Troy? :)

Actually, it's almost the same text used by Google. Except for the misspelling. :)
