im a complete noob so plz explain everything step by step! ;)

Just got a pentium 4 2.53ghz processor a few hours ago, but it only runs at 1.9ghz.
My motherboard supports it.
I think its to do with the multiplier.
multiplier = 19
frequency at moment 100mhz.
but 19 by 133mhz = 2.53ghz.
anyone know how i can get 2.53ghz?
motherboard = asus p4s533-vm.
Please help.
Thanks.
i dont know how to get 133mhz... :tazz:

HI
you will need to reset the jumper on your MB to get it to the right setting if you look at the manul for your MB it should show where to set the jumper for you to get the 2.53mz 133

here is a link to the manul jumper settings for your MB Pg. 36 of 122

your right the jumper was the problem.
but , to get 133mhz i need to 'cap' 3 of the jumpers, but with my old set up only 2 were 'capped' , and so i only have 2 caps.
any advise?
