quickbooks pro restoring data

Can anyone help? I was using a canadian version of Quickbooks Pro 6 but computer crashed. Got Pro V.o8 but it is a UK version and when I try to restore data says that it cannot do so as data were not created on Uk version. Is there anyway around this?

Where is your Canadian QuickBooks cd?

As to a way around your dillema, no. The versions MUST be the same in order to work.
