Internet Explorer Sites not working!

When I am using Internet Explorer, mainly while using Myspace, and I am clicking through pictures or my inbox, a box will come up saying, "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site" then it lists the website, then it says, "Operation Aborted". When I click "ok", it goes to the Internet Cannot Find This Page page. What does it mean and what can I do to get rid of it happening again?
