I have recently been experiencing the following error message when I shut down. rundll32.exe end program. I have tried a number of so-called fix it solutions and nothing seems to be working. Internet explorer keeps hanging and certain hyperlinks aren't working. On top of all this we have broadband, but the computer is mega slow. Can anyone please, please, please help.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Thanks for the advice, however I followed your instructions and when I went to download HijackThis my computer froze. I had to CTRL+ALT+DEL and shut down the program. Please help, I've recently done a so-called repair on XP and still I get this ending program rundll32.exe message. I'm at the end of my tether and I have no idea what to do. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

DO you have access to another PC? or a friend who will be willing to download Hijack for you. Because The admins will be unable to help you if they dont know what is going on.
