Simple Javascript Element Toggle w/ Cookies

I've been Google-searching for a bit and I can't seem to find anything that simply does the following:

On click of a link labeled "Toggle Element 2" element "2" will appear or disappear. Cookies will remember if an element is toggled or not.

I'm hoping I don't have to learn JS just for this simple script.
