last week i installed XP sp3, since then i have a PC that is slow to run programs.
I uninstalled SP3 which did not help also did a reinstall back to SP1 then installed SP2 again no improvement.
I have subsequently gone back to SP3 but still have a slow PC.
Has anyone else had similar problems.
The other thought was that i might have some malware, i did a trend micro online scan but it did not find anything.

I had this problem after installing sp3 also. I fixed it by uninstalling the Microsoft search bar.

Thanks Axim which version of explorer are you running.
I only have google search bar installed on ie7.
did you find other programs slow toload and run
