everytime time i log on i keep getting the message registry open error , and every once and a while the computer shuts down and a blue screen comes up and says it has shut down to prevent damage to the computer ,can anyone help me please .

I would say you need to go to the malware forums and read the top links to follow Hijack instructions. Only techs can help you there. It sounds like a possible infection issue to me.
