I wish to fit a C-Media 8738 sound card to my Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo 600 P.

To complete the installation i need to enter the BIOS and disable the onboard sound card.
I have no idea on how to enter the BIOS or what steps to take in disabling the existing card.

Can someone please advise me on the correct procedures and any possible snags that i may find
or indeed cause.

Many thanks to all who may reply,
Al.

You can find the user manual for your motherboard HERE.

To get into the BIOS, turn on your computer and then immediately begin tapping the F3 key about once a second until you get into the BIOS/Setup screen. From there you can find the option to enable/disable the onboard audio.

MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR CHANGES BEFORE EXITING THE BIOS! :)

Thank you for the rapid and informative reply.
I have saved the manual and will attempt to install the card ASAP.
