Changing default location of Program files

I have changed the default file location of the place were my programs install and it causes trouble like all the programs that are in C\program files dont work. My slidebar deost work ethier is there a way to change the location and still have windows slide bar work

Where is the 'default' install location for programs now? :)
They should be in Local Disk (C:) (if that is your main OS partition) ...C:\Program Files\
