XP Home w/n load

When I start I get a Black backgroound screen with "safe Mode" and "several other options to stert" but NONE will boot... it just comes BACK to that screen.

When I run/boot from the CD to get to the screen where repair is an option my computer hangs up at "Examining 57240 MB Disk 0 at ID 0 on bus 0 on Atapi..." and stops, like tha HD won't check...
My windows XP Home has stopped booting at all, no "last good config" no "safe mode"....
suggestions...

The hard drive is spinning okay in my Dell... but... who knows? :tazz:
