Excel macro (office 2003) preventing xp standby

Hi!

I've found a related post (http://www.geekstogo...03-t102409.html) about the problem of excel macros preventing the system to standby, but the solution of removing macros isn't really suitable for me. A single function (returning 1) in an empty workbook is enough to get the message instead of going standby. May anyone got some tips?

edit: I've even tried to disable my network interfaces, open the test xls, and as soon as I press the standby button, I've got the mesaage that the system cannot enter standby because an office document or coponent is opened from the network...
