Inserting pictures in MS Access

I have data base converted from Access 2000 to Access 2002 format in Access 2003. Originally I could insert photos (.jpg files). Now with new Dell Inspiron 9200 laptop with pre-installed MS Office Professional, when I try to insert an object from file, I get "MS Office can't read the OLE object because communication was interrupted. If the OLE server is located on a network server make sure your computer is connected". I am not connected to a network. Help would be appreciated. :tazz:
