the same windows update all the time?

hello i keep getting a msg saying there are updates available but when i update it i can see it is the same one time and time again,i have turned off auto update but how do i stop the same update time and time again please?i am running with windows vista premium 64 bit.

That used to happen to me too. What happens is that it cant install correctly, so you have to try to install it manually.

Search on the internet for the code (KB######) (something like that), and sometimes you can find manual installations from Microsoft.

thank you looked it up in microsoft,it was a bit complicated but i think i have fixed the problem.
