Hi y'all, my names Joel, and I have currently installed Xampp which is a program that installs filezilla, mysql, apache, and php , all in one program. It Basically lets you host a webpage from your computer completely for free. I have a webpage up, but all it shows is the time (thats how new i am). Anyways I was wondering where I should start in order to start web designing. Ive been told that I should start with html and then go to php

my question is
where should i truly start in terms of making a very basic webpage and later on a forum, in code. Preferably in PHP. But if i have to start somewhere else, any suggestions would be greatly aprreciated. thanks in advanced.

Just start off by making HTML pages for practical uses. Make sure to use the W3C Validator!

Fiddle around with making templates. This is what I did before I started getting paid for web-work.
