Both computers are laptops and are both directly connected to the router with a cable. First computer has windows xp media center edition version 2003 sp3 and the second computer has windows xp home sp 3. I tried createing a network between the two to transfer files from the (media center) laptop to the (windows xp home) laptop but they cant detect eachother when i go view workgroup computers.

Anyone know how to fix this?

thanks

Hi Stipower

I tried createing a network between the two to transfer files

How did you create your network.?
Did you go to my computer right click on C drive left click on properties choose the sharing tab then choose
Share this folder on the network and choose let others change my files. click ok.
you should have a hand showing under the c drive.
This is the 1st step you have to do.
Cheers
peterm
