I have installed an activated my System Mechanic (newest version) but when I click the icon to run the program is states the following:

A critical component required for System Mechanic to operate properly is missing. Reinstallation is recommended. [Error: 0005]

I have done a few re-installs. Still does this.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, Norton Internet Security 2009, and SpySweeper. I completed all recent updates for all software and for my operating system. Did not seem to change the issue at hand.

I have a HiJackThis log available. Not sure if this log is useful for this particular issue.

Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need any logs to assist this issue.
