I have an IBM thinkpad and my son accessed the bios what he did is beyond me. The computer powers up gives flash screen and then three sysbles one is of the number 1 over a cannext to a padlock. I can no longer access what was a perfectly good running computer.

you need to get into the bios and set it to the default settings...its sometimes called optimized settings...and hope he didn't password protect it
