Have Vista but want to boot into XP by Default

Hi
I installed Vista onto a separate hard drive, and now it boots into Vista by default if I am not there. Is there any way I can get back to Booting into XP by default? I have even tried taking the Vista drive out, and the boot ini in XP doesnt mention Vista.

Hello davyburns...

When Vista intalls, it installs it's own bootloader (BCD store) and writes it to the boot sector of the drive. You need to add your XP installation to that rather than Vista to the boot.ini. The BCD is more difficult to edit without the use of applications like VistabootPro (it's free), but you will be able to add the XP install to that and set it as the default operating system.

Be sure to back up the BCD before you edit...I think this version of VistbootPro does that for you when you first run it.
