Internet Explorer/Firefox problems

My internet connection is fine and working well, but when i try to use Internet Explorer or Firefox i run into massive problems. IE is not working at all (page just doesn't load up) and Firefox is running exceptionally slowly. Is there a conflict issue between IE and Firefox or are there other factors causing these problems?

Okay - i think this is a malware problem, so i have posted this in the malware section.
