Howdy again~

Finally upgraded my router, bought me a Netgear WPN824 witch is boasted as 10x as good as my last one. And...the results please me greatly, just as powerful as I want.

However, for the life of me I cannot configure the [bleep] thing. I would like to, so I can change the name of the signal and also chuck some security on there.

I have the CD that comes with it, and the annoying wizard. No matter what I do, when it comes to the 'Test Connection' bit, it disconnects me and of course says it can't pick it up. That's a problem, 'cause the security options come after that...and I can't skip to them. I don't know why it says this, especially as without running the wizard it shares my connection fine.

My current setup isn't picked up in their program I guess, but I also can't access it manually like I could my last router. None of the URLs provided help.

Sooo...don't quite know what to do to get to some configurin'. My current setup is modem - little box thing[switch?] - to computer and separate to router. Dunno how to describe it better, my mate set it up and it worked fine. Still does really, I just...can't configure things the same. Thought I would be able to, same make and all.

If anyone could provide me with assistance, I'd be very grateful.
