hi i've just brought myself a new backard bell laptop it only has vista basic.It doesn't have media center.How do i download it for free.any help would be great thanks

The media center is exclusive to those certain operating systems (XP Home Media Center, Vista Home Premuim, and Vista Ultimate). The only way to get it, would be to upgrade to one of those. If you are just interested in certain features that it offers, then you may be able to find another free program with those features.

On a side note, downloading the Windows Media Center for free would be considered illegal, if it was even possible. This site, along with almost every forum site, does not support or allow the discussion on how to do something illegal.
