Best/most effective free firewall for my notebook?

Hi guys im a bit of a noob here so im not quite sure where this goes...

Anyways, i was looking at Zone Alarm, and it says its made for computers with DSL or connected cable internet or something?

I was just wondering what would work best for my notebook. I use mobile internet with that little dongle modem thing.
