I am helping a friend with her Dell Inspiron 1525. It is only a few months old and not much has been done to it but I want her to have XP Pro. I was unfamiliar with the BIOS but when I finally found how to get to XP setup her HD did not appear on the list to install XP. Does anyone know a way around this or maybe if I am doing something wrong?

More than likely your XP Pro CD does not have sata drivers included with it, so it does not see the sata drive. Heres a good article on the newest methods to install XP.
