Think i've deleted Iexplorer

Hi my internet has been freezing and then dissapears, i'm pretty sure i've accidently deleted it, i've tried restoring it from program files and there's no option to repair it in add/remove? i also copied internet explorer 7 from my mum's laptop which is what i'm using now but after it said it installed ie still didn't work? What else can i do as i can't access the net apart from the laptop although everything else works like my email and stuff, i've done a virus scan and it found a few malware so i deleted but still nothing? Please help keeping in mind i'm ok with a computer but not great (example of deleting IE doh) Thank you
