USB Not Working

Hi Everyone

I have a wierd one, USB ports not working on a none brand unit and on chkdsk /r it will go through first three checks, but will NOT do fourth check. any ideas?

Download CPUZ from http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Open it, let is scan, then post 2 screenshots (1 of the CPU tab and 1 of the Mainboard tab).

This will allow me to identify your board and internal hardware, then search for drivers pertaining to it.

when you say it will not run chkdsk /r to completion...what EXACTLY does it do...sometimes it will appear to hang for a hour or 2 but if you let it go... it will complete...it may even "stick" at a % of completion (like 18%) for a hour or so only to jump ahead to say 60%...
During stage 4, CHKDSK verifies all clusters in use; during stage 5, CHKDSK verifies unused clusters.
