Edit:i don't have anything on hand...try another one

i take that back...

Two trains leave at 9:00 A.M. One leaves from NY heading West and the other from LA heading East. The train from LA is carrying 200,000 tons of steel while the one from NY is carrying 200,000 tons of feathers. Assuming that neither train encounters any significant wind resistance, no delays, are traveling on perfectly conditioned tracks and are both allowed to travel at maximum speed for the entire duration of their trips. Which train left first?

Which train left first or which train arrived first?

If it's left first, then obviously the one heading west did because of the time zone...

dsenette:

This is an easy one: If Both trains leave at 9:00 am, the train from New York would leave First, because California is 4 HOURS behind New York Time, because New York is in the Eastern Time Zone, while Los Angeles is in the the Pacific Time Zone. There would be no way for both trains to leave at the same time, and no way for the trains to meet.

So if we're both right does that mean that we both get to post? :)

I don't have anything atm, so why don't you post something, Brian?

What else? Would it have something to do with the spelling?

Does this have anything to do with the fact that the names used are romeo and Juliet?
