Thats the info i got from a friend who has a laptop which is restarting unexpectedly. The laptop is good spec, so i thought vista would run fine, but it crashes and we think its a component.. any ideas?

You installed vista on it manually?

did you install all the drivers?

No, vista was on the laptop when bought as he tells me, whichd rivers should he update? thanks

have you tried testing the memory? You could try running memtest86

Is it idle temperature? Even, if it's while in use, it's pretty high.
The problem is, I can't really find any listing for Intel Core 2 Duo 4600 2.4Ghz. Are you sure, your signature is correct?

No, read my top post for the specs of the laptop in question, my sig is my own pc, not this laptop, thanks. :)

The laptop has a 1.9ghz the name is on my first post.

I see. Sorry for that. Turion max temp is listed above 90C, so you're probably OK, but is it idle temp?

Ask your friend to play some resource heavy game, and see what the temps will read.
