Hi,

I got a serious problem and I have no idea how to solve it.

It started out with IncrediMail... when trying to create a new folder from inside IncrediMail to save some attachments, IncrediMail would crash.

Now the problem has extended.

Explorer.exe crashes under the following conditions:
1) When I am in a folder and click on the command File.
2) When I right click on an empty area (on Desktop or in folders).
3) When I copy a folder and wish to paste it elsewhere.
4) When I copy a file and wish to paste it elsewhere.
4) When I click on Organize > New Folder

Every time it crashes I get the same problem signature:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: Explorer.EXE
Application Version: 6.0.6001.18000
Application Timestamp: 47918e5d
Fault Module Name: shellext.dll
Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.1
Fault Module Timestamp: 3fa9fedd
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00001e31
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
Additional Information 1: fd00
Additional Information 2: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160
Additional Information 3: fd00
Additional Information 4: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem without having to reinstall Windows Vista (which was working fine until now)?

Any help would be greatly, immensely appreciated since I am clueless.

Best regards,

Jennifer

Hello Jennifer, i think you should restore your system to some point before installing IncrediMail and see if crashes still happen. Before doing that i advice backing up all your mail, contacts, etc from IncrediMail because the restore tool will erase it.

Hope that helps.

That is impossible :) IncrediMail was one of the first software programs I installed back in March and it never caused a problem before yesterday.

Any other suggestions?

The problem with IncrediMail started seemingly as a separate event, but all the other problems rest started after upgrading to the latest Windows Vista security update.

However, I already tried uninstalling it and there was no improvement.

No hardware was installed in the last 2 months.

I did a Virus Scan, but it came out negative.

I am clueless.

A quick update:

The problem has been completely solved by uninstalling Media Resizer Pro.

Thanks for trying to help.
