Playstation 3 video streaming

(I wasn't sure where to put this topic.)

When I first got my Playstation 3, I was able to connect it to my computer with ease and play DivX encoded movies. Now, it can still connect, still show that the files exist, but I get a "File is corrupted" error when I attempt to play any of them now. I'm not sure if it started happening before or after I updated the Playstation 3.

What could be wrong?
