Volume + Video Problem

I'm not sure where to put this; it appears whenever I use a browser such as Mozilla Firefox so I just put it here.

For some strange reason, at random times, my computer suddenly loses its volume when listening to music online or watching videos online and all videos I play suddenly stop after 2 seconds.
Videos I play that are on my computer (not online) work (no stopping after 2 seconds, there is volume).

Any help would be greatly appreciated~
