Sorry i haven't replied for a while, i've been very busy at work.

Anyway, i called Fujitsu technical support over the weekend and they said the only way to fix this is to reinstall the operating system.

I can do that, but my sister in law hasn't backed up any of her files. What's the best/easiest way to get the files off her HD with the computer in it's current state before i do this as she really doesn't want to lose all her pictures and stuff? Is it even possible?
