My computer was infected with a virus, I was able to solve my problem with norton (deleted the infected files) and by re-installing windows. Once I did that I went to microsoft.com and completely updated windows 2000. Everything is now running fine exept I can't re-install microsoft office. When I put the CD in and try to install I get a message that reads:

Windows Installer
! The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation.

This makes no sense to me since this is a personal PC and there is no administrator to change anything and I didn't change anything myself. Could this be a result of the virus?

What can I do.

Any help would be appreciated.
