Hi again,

At the bottom of the building guide is a link to some step-by-step instructions to take, if the build does not work well. I suggest following them and see what you come to.

i got frustrated and took it to a computer servicer. he said that it was not identifing the harddrive and that i should have downloaded a driver for the hard drive. you guys should put up a forum on what to do once the computer is built. the forum for building it is great, but us newbies all will be completely lost once it comes to bios time!

If the PC is not finding the hard drive before Windows attempts to start, take notice, then you don't need a driver for it as that's an entirely separate issue usually caused because the drive is either not connected, jumpered wrong or has other issues. If the BIOS sees the drive but Windows doesn't then you may need a floppy driver.

The defaults in the BIOS are generally default for a reason - failsafe configuration. Just like flashing the BIOS, you shouldn't really play in the BIOS if you don't know what the options do, especially anything marked with the V for voltage sign.
