Today I'm writing on my girlfriend's computer, and I just wanted to know ways to increase speed and performance. I can post a HJT log, or any info required to just make it run faster! Any help is appreciated. :)

System specs:
Pentium 4 Processor 530 /w Hyper-Threading 3 Ghz, 8-- MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 Cache
200 GB Sata HDD 7200 RPM
512 DDR1 MB RAM

You can also clean out the temp, and index.dat files with ccleaner or ATF cleaner. (disc cleanup will not remove index.dat files)
Close any unneeded applications like instant messeging, hp monitor, etc.
