msgsrv32 Error

Recently, any time I try to install any kind of software like Kodak easyshare, when it asks me to reboot system. I get msgsrv32 caused a general protection fault in module commctrl.cll. What could be causing this. This error even happens befor actually connecting the dock to the usb port. I tried the software that came with the camera and downloaded it from internet. Also when I uninstall, I get a fatal exception error.
