I have a new laptop that is a Vista machine. Some web pages load as a blank page with the only visable indicator is the Done designation in the lower left corner. I have tried looking at the firewall settings and could find nothing wrong. I have tried both Firefox and IE, both react the same. Any suggestions? Any help appreciated.

Is System Restore disabled, or what otherwise happened?

I think restore had not been turned on. It is a new computer. I have now turned it on but that will not help this problem

System Restore should be turned on by default, so there is something wrong about your computer.
