I am getting the following error when I try to connect my laptop to another laptop via a wireless connection.

:)
tcp client error Error while trying to connect to the server: connection refused: connect


I am using Windows XP.

If more information is required of me please let me know.

Any help in resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Please explain "connect". Are you trying to share a connection with the other laptop? Are you trying to control it remotely? Are you trying to share files?


What is it exactly that you are doing?

I am using C-Print Software.

Happily tech support at the school where I work was able to show me the cure to this problem:

Once you open up C-Print:

tools
options
network
advanced options
Verify Communications port is same on all systems

The problem has been resolved.
