have a hp a630n won't boot not even to bios any ideas what to do any help would be helpful

it is a hp a630n 2.8ghz , 512 ram, 160sata hd, when i push the power button powers on but nothing happens . hd light stays on cd lights flash , but i grt nothing , when i talked to hp support i got to boot once they had me check for hd but it was not there they told me to unhook the hd cables then rehook,then reboot after that nothing,the fans come on when power up the fans turn real fast then slow to normal
